RCJS is organizing a one day workshop on problems and remedial measures for the welfare of handloom sector and handloom weavers in Andhra Pradesh.
Description:
The Workshop will be a platform for the representatives of the handlooms weavers across the state, NGOs, trade unions and officials.
It is planned to discuss in detail the living conditions of the weavers, their entitlements, status of implementation of welfare schemes and problems like uncontrolled Silk Yarn Prices and Non implementation of Health Insurance Scheme and Thrift and Savings Scheme, Work Shed cum Housing, Prime Minister Awas Yojana Scheme, Employment Guarantee Scheme and other schemes implemented by the Labour Department.
The workshop would also help inform the central and State Governments of the problems of weavers and bottlenecks and problems implementation of welfare schemes as well as remedial measures.
